This week the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRDP) was narrowly rejected on the Senate floor. The treaty, negotiated during the Bush administration, has already been ratified by126 other nations—including China, Russia, and Iran.
Leading the charge against the CRPD treaty, was former presidential candidate Rick Santorum along with Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah. Here to talk more about the treaty is Dana Milbank, opinion writer for the Washington Post, who wrote in favor of signing the treaty last week.
