The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office says it has decided to join a massive multi-state lawsuit against makers of generic drugs.
The move comes after the AG’s office faced pressure from state lawmakers for not joining the suit sooner.
The lawsuit, potentially the biggest of its kind in American history, alleges that nearly two dozen generic drug manufacturers have been colluding for years to artificially inflate prices.
When the lawsuit was first filed in May by the Connecticut Attorney General’s office, New Hampshire was one of just six states that hadn’t signed on as co-plaintiff.
Now, nearly four months later, the AG’s office says after a careful review it has decided to join the suit in an amended complaint that is expected to be filed soon.
