Update: Skier From Somerville Dies After Crash at Cannon Mountain

Cannon Mountain
Cannon Mountain

New Hampshire State Police say a Massachusetts skier died after a collision with another skier Friday at Cannon Mountain.

Ski patrollers found Jeremy Keiran, 39, of Somerville, Mass., unresponsive on a section of the Middle Ravine Trail. Keiran died from his injuries on the mountainside.

The other skier, 48-year-old Robert Slocum of Newburyport, Mass., suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. He was taken to Littleton Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police say Keiran was skiing down the Profile Trail at Cannon when he lost control and was thrown from his skis. He slid through a roped-off area at the end of the trial, over an embankment, and then struck Slocum, was skiing on Middle Ravine.
