New Hampshire Legal Assistance Announces New Executive Director

New Hampshire Legal Assistance announced Tuesday that Sarah Mattson Dustin will become the organization's new executive director.

Mattson Dustin graduated from Harvard Law School and currently serves as the policy director for the New Hampshire Women's Foundation.

She calls it an incredible honor to take on the new responsibility. Last year, New Hampshire Legal Assistance says it assisted nearly 6,400  low-income and elderly Granite Staters in need of legal help.

As the non-profit law firm nears its 50th anniversary, Mattson Dustin signaled there was still room for growth.

"The most significant challenge that we face today is the same one that we have faced for nearly five decades,” Mattson Dustin said. “Which is that there are many hundreds of people every year who need our help who we are not able to serve."

Mattson Dustin is slated to start the new job in November.
