U.S. Senate Debate: Corky Messner and Jeanne Shaheen Square Off On NHPR

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Republican nominee Corky Messner will debate live on NHPR on Thursday.

The Senate candidates have sparred in recent weeks over health care, coronavirus relief spending, and political experience.

Messner, an attorney who was endorsed by President Trump, touts his status as a political outsider. Shaheen, a Democrat seeking her third term, argues Messner is an outsider only in that he moved here from Colorado to run for office.

Among key questions to be addressed during NHPR's debate: As coronavirus cases rise in the U.S., including in New Hampshire, what should be done to stop the spread of the virus and to stem its economic impact?
