N.H. Congressional Delegation Announces Funding to Support Domestic Violence Survivors

New Hampshire's Democratic Congressional delegation has announced over $ 1 million in federal funding to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan along with Reps. Annie Kuster and Chris Pappas say Turning Points Networkin Claremont will receive a $450,000 award through the Transitional House Grant Assistance Program.

On top of that, the Northern Border Regional Commission awarded Turning Points $250,000 to support a move.

The delegation also announced that the New Hampshire Department of Justice would receive $383,741 through the Office on Violence Against Women to support rape crisis centers and other nonprofit organizations that assist survivors of sexual assault.

Shaheen said community organizations like Turning Points "perform critical work in providing support, safety and advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence."
