Aasif Mandvi: No Land's Man

Aasif Mandvi talked to Virginia about his new collection of essays, No Land’s Man and about the time he got a call from The Daily Show to come in for an audition.

Mandvi, of course, did end up going to the audition, arriving exactly at the scheduled time. He met Jon Stewart and gave him his best impersonation of Stephen Colbert and was hired on the spot. Hours later he was taping his first segment without being able to call anyone to tell them about his new job. His family was confused.
