Barbara & Dick Couch Fellowship For Innovation

NHPR is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for the Barbara and Dick Couch Fellowship for Innovation.  The fellowship was created to develop the next generation of public radio talent and to bring new ideas and perspectives to NHPR.  This six month fellowship focusing on show production and digital media is based at NHPR’s broadcast center in Concord, New Hampshire.  Fellows will gain hands-on experience working on The Exchange, NHPR’s flagship public affairs program and exposure to a wide range of activities at the station.  Responsibilities will include: generating and researching show ideas, producing shows under the direction of staff, pre-interviewing show guests, assisting with webpage development and content and increasing the show's social media presence.  In addition, fellows will develop an innovative project or initiative under the mentorship of one of our staff members.  Future fellowships will be in News, Digital Media and Public Radio Administration.

NHPR encourages applicants who aspire to a career in public radio, have demonstrated commitment to their communities and show exceptional promise to apply.  Previous public media experience is not required; however, a degree in journalism, communications or a related field is preferred.

Applications will be accepted until June 21, 2013. Candidates can find more information here: http://nhpr.iapplicants.com/ViewJob-450709.html
