A flood watch is in effect through Wednesday night for parts of central and Northern New Hampshire as a result of snowmelt and possible ice jams on rivers due to unseasonably high temperatures.
The National Weather Service advisory is for Coos, Grafton, and Sullivan counties. It includes Errol, Millsfield, Colebrook,, Berlin, Dummer, Milan, York Pond, Lancaster, Bethlehem, Lincoln, Littleton, Sugar Hill, Thornton, Waterville Valley, Woodstock, Lebanon, Lyme, Ashland, Ellsworth, Holderness, Plymouth, Rumney, Claremont, Cornish, Unity, Croydon, Goshen, Grantham, Lempster, Newport, and Charlestown.
New Hampshire Fish and Game is also urging caution for anyone considering venturing out on river or lake ice.
The National Weather Service also issued a "special weather statement" for parts of southern New Hampshire on Tuesday morning, warning of dense fog patches due to warm air over snow pack.
