NH This Weekend: Nature, Birds, And Orchestras

Hippo Editor Amy Diaz joins Morning Edition to discuss some of this weekend's events, when the Spring weather is expected to finally arrive in the Granite State.

  • The Audubon is having an early Earth Day festival at Massabesic on Saturday. The day will include scavenger hunts, bird-house building, an assortment of live animals, live music, marshmallows and more.
  • Also on Saturday, Beaver Brook is holding a Bluebird Training session. Bluebirds seem like a fun, beginner-bird-watching bird and this explains how to spot their nests and eggs.
  • Another good introductory event on Saturday: the Nashua Chamber Orchestra is holding its family concert at 3 p.m. at the Nashua Public Library. The orchestra will introduce different musical styles and instruments.

For many radio listeners throughout New Hampshire, Rick Ganley is the first voice they hear each weekday morning, bringing them up to speed on news developments overnight and starting their day off with the latest information.
