More High Winds Will Blow Through New Hampshire This Weekend

Via Youtube, posted by Earl Flanders

Northern New England is preparing for another round of wind. And it's going to be much colder this time.

The National Weather Service says 30 mph gusts projected for Saturday in Maine and New Hampshire won't be as strong as the 50 mph-plus gusts recorded Thursday.

But the wind will be accompanied by plummeting temperatures.

Meteorologist Nikki Becker from the National Weather Service says wind chill advisories are going into effect starting Friday night for the mountains and foothills. A wind chill advisory is already in effect in Vermont, where the high Friday won't top freezing.

Utilities crews are still mopping up the last of Thursday's power outages caused by the powerful winds. At the peak, tens of thousands of homes and businesses were in the dark.
