A Manchester man charged with attempted murder is facing an additional charge after allegedly assaulting his public defender.
Dale Holloway was charged with multiple felonies earlier this month after allegedly shooting two people at a wedding in a church in Pelham.
Holloway has been held without bail in the Valley Street jail in Manchester since last week and was expected to appear in court for a bail hearing Tuesday afternoon in connection with the Pelham shooting. But that hearing was cancelled Monday. Later in the day, the New Hampshire Attorney General's office said that Holloway had been charged with first degree assault against his public defender, Michael Davidow.
Capt. Gifford Hiscoe, the jail's chief of security, told NHPR that Davidow was transported to the hospital with head and face injuries around 9:30 a.m., after having met with Holloway at around 9 a.m.
The Hillsborough County Public Defender's office could not be reached for comment.
