  • The N.Y. Dog Film Festival is at The Music Hall on Friday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m. This double feature of animated, documentary and narrative short films, benefits local animal welfare groups. More information here.
  • At the Capital Center for the Arts: Supernothing & Dopamine play Friday at 8 p.m. on the Bank of New Hampshire Stage in Concord. This is locally-sourced Reggae and rock music.

  • Prescott Park hosts the Tommy Gallant Jazz Festival XXIV on Sunday, Aug. 11, at noon. The lineup includes: Seacoast Big Band at noon, followed by: Soggy Po Boys, Press Room Trio with Humphrey/Haas, and Donna Byrne and Marshall Wood Quartet.
