Woman in Wheelchair Crossing Street Killed in Lancaster

State Police

A woman in a wheelchair crossing Route 3 in Lancaster has died after being struck by a motorist Tuesday.

New Hampshire State Police said Pauline Clark, 76, of Lancaster, was taken to Weeks Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said a Jeep Wrangler driven by Andoni A. Koxarakis, 37, of Lancaster, struck the motorized wheelchair in a designated crosswalk at the intersection of Route 3 and Country Village Road.

The accident closed Route 3 for about four hours Tuesday. The crash remains under investigation, but police said neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in the collission.
