It’s a weekend to geek out at Granite State Comicon. Hippo Editor Amy Diaz tells us why it’s especially worthy for Game of Thrones fans.
Like many comicon events, Granite State Comicon has become much more than just an event for comic fans…
Yes… I talked with the organizers and they say in the beginning it was very comics focused… but this is the second year where it’s a two day event… and whatever you’re interested in there’s some element represented. This kind of turned out to be Game of Thrones year… they have five actors (from the HBO series) … probably the most famous is Miltos Yerolemou, he plays the sword instructor… he’s going to be teaching water dancing, his style of sword fighting.
And some people will be going in costume...
Absolutley. That’s part of the experience… there’s a costume contest Saturday afternoon.
What is Dorks in Dungeons?
They’re going to be performing at the convention Saturday, and then go back to their theater Sunday for a show… the performance is kind of a blend of improve comedy and dungeons and dragons.
