The weather in New Hampshire will turn for the better Saturday and Sunday this long Columbus Day weekend. Here are 10 things to do.

- Catch Tony-award winning Anaïs Mitchell, who plays Sunday at theBank of NH Stage, presented by the Capitol Center for the Arts, in Concord. The show begins at 8 p.m. Mark Erelli also performs as opener.
- Warner Fall Foliage Festival: The fest has gone on since 1947, and its tradition is rooted to the 1870s. This is Oct. 11-13.
- The Sandwich Fair is oct. 12-14, with gates opening each day at 8 a.m. Fair features includes the Midway, farmers' market, and horse, dog, oxen, goat, cattle, and swine shows.
- Nashua Theatre Guild presents "Sense and Sensibility" on Oct. 11-13 at theJan Streeter Theatre.
- Milford Pumpkin Festival is this Columbus Day weekend. The festival dates: Friday, 5-9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Charlie Hunter and Lucy Woodward play Friday night at3S Artspace in Portsmouth. The showstarts at 8 p.m. Watch one of their music videos:
- Celebrated Cellist Edward Arron joins the North Country Chamber Players for "Foliage Concerts" - Oct. 12 at Sugar Hill Meetinghouse, and Oct. 13 at Court Street Arts, Alumni Hall, in Haverhill. Both concerns are at 4 p.m.
- Storytime with illustrator Mark Hoffmannat Gibson's Bookstore is Oct. 12 at 11 a.m.
- The UNH Symphony Orchestra performs Oct. 13 at the Johnson Theater on the Durham campus. The free event runs 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Oktoberfest in N.H.: Attitash has its 22nd annual OktoberfestOct. 12-13, with Bavarian music, traditional food, and a beer garden featuring some local breweries.
- The White Mountain Oktoberfest is Oct. 12-13 at Loon Mountain.
- The 11th annual NH Brewfest is Oct. 12 at Prescott Park in Portsmouth.
- Check out Johniene Papandreas open studios Oct. 12-13, Studio 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the Monadnock Art Tour in Peterborough.
- Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue play The Music Hall in Portsmouth on Oct. 13. The show in the historic theater begins at 7 p.m.
