A Massachusetts woman has pleaded guilty to five felony counts of financial exploitation of an elder adult for using $63,000 of her uncle's money for her own benefit.

New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald announced that Karla Cloutier, 50, of Winchendon, Mass., entered the guilty plea Tuesday in Cheshire County Superior Court in Keene.

She received a prison sentence of 1 1/2 to four years. On the other charges, sentencing terms were suspended on the condition of good behavior and repayment of the money.

Cloutier served as her elderly uncle's durable power of attorney from 2015 to 2017.
