Former FBI special counsel Robert Mueller is testifying Wednesday in two separate hearings before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees. NHPR is runningspecial live coverage starting at 8:30 a.m. Watch the testimony live below:
Mueller is scheduled to testify starting around 8:30 a.m. His second committee appearance is currently set to commence at noon Wednesday.
Ahead of the testimony, the Department of Justice warned Mueller not to stray from his written report. Not long after Mueller delivered his report to the Attorney General back in March, he said the report would stand as his testimony.
Republicans and Democrats have promised tough questions. For Democrats, Wednesday's hearings could be a turning point in the call for impeachment proceedings for President Trump, NPR reports.
