Pelosi Stumps for Kuster in Concord

Todd Bookman/NHPR

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made a stop in Concord Thursday, stumping for 2nd District incumbent Annie Kuster.

Pelosi, one of Congress' most polarizing figures, praised Democrats up and down the ballot.

In a downtown Concord law firm packed with supporters, the California Congresswoman and current Minority Leader singled out Kuster for her bi-partisan efforts on the Farm Bill, and for her work to pass substance abuse legislation.

“She understands that to be a member of Congress, your job title and your job description are one in the same. Representative. Representative. She represents the values of the Granite State,” said Pelosi.

She encouraged voters to rally organize on behalf of Hillary Clinton

Kuster is seeking her third term. She’s running against Republican Jim Lawrence.
