N.H. Motor Speedway Hosts Today's Sprint Cup Series Race

Today is the big day for racing at New Hampshire Motor SpeedwayNASCAR drivers will compete at the Loudon track this afternoon in a Sprint Cup series race.  While thousands of people have been taking in events all weekend, a group of hardcore fans is camping at the track.  Dennis Joyce is a Loudon regular.  He says he prefers NASCAR over all other sports.

“The speed, and the adrenaline rush that you get, seeing the cars go around the track at 200 miles an hour, within inches of each other…it’s like a heartbeat that gets you going and it’s just a rush in itself,” Joyce says.

This year’s racing has already seen one record broken.  Defending Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski clocked 139.922 miles per hour at the track yesterday.  With that speed he won the pole for today’s race.  The previous record was set two years ago.
