Writers on a New England Stage: Steven Pinker

Join New Hampshire Public Radio’s Peter Biello as he hosts a literary conversation with author Steven Pinker at the next edition of Writers on a New England Stage—a partnership of The Music Hall and NHPR.

Steven Pinker will discuss his latest book, Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress. Despite multiple complex challenges facing humanity today, in his latest work, Pinker explores the positive theory that the world is actually getting better—with happier, healthier people living longer lives. Backed with extensive research and illustrated with informational graphs, Pinker outlines the promising forecast on the human condition.

A psychology professor at Harvard University, Pinker is also a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and a Humanist of the Year award winner. He frequently contributes to The New York Times, The Atlantic and other prestigious publications, and is the recipient of nine honorary doctorates.

Steven Pinker will be in conversation with Peter Biello, host of NHPR’s The Bookshelf, Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m.

For tickets, stop by The Music Hall box office, call 603-436-2400 or purchase online.
