Gov. Kasich Hits New Hampshire With TV Ad, Repeat Visit
Ohio Gov. John Kasich is back in New Hampshire and capitalizing on television ads he's airing in what he views as a must-win state.
The two-term Republican arrived back in the state on Sunday, and on Monday visited with small business groups in Portsmouth, Rochester and Barrington.
Ads that began airing last week notably label the 62-year-old Kasich a conservative, though most consider him more moderate than much of the crowded GOP field.
Kasich allies at New Day for America say they've raised $11.5 million, all of which must be spent before his formal campaign announcement July 21. More ads are expected.
This will be Kasich's second White House bid. The former congressman ran briefly for the 2000 nomination before George W. Bush emerged as the front runner.
