U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, has invited Jeanne Moser of East Kingston, with the goal to raise awareness about substance use disorders. Moser's son, Adam, died in 2015 from a fentanyl overdose. [Moser shared her family's story for NHPR's Crossroad project]
U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-NH, will host McKenzie Harrington-Bacote, the wellness program coordinator for the Laconia School District. In that job, she works to prevent drug use and substance misuse, as well as behavioral health and wellness for students. U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, D-NH, announced her guest will be Chessy Prout, who as a freshman at St. Paul's School in Concord was the victim of a sexual assault. Prout is now an ambassador for the organization PAVE, and she travels the country speaking about "consent education."
U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-NH, will have Amb. Norm Eisen as her guest. Eisen is chairman of the CREW, a government watchdog group. He served as U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republican from 2011 to 2014, and he was a White House special counsel and assistant to President Obama from 2009 to 2011 on ethics and government reform.
