Manchester Police Chief To Talk Opioids At Capitol Hill Hearing

thisweekinraymond.com

Manchester's chief of police is set to testify this week on Capitol Hill about New Hampshire's opioid epidemic.

Nick Willard will speak Wednesday at a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The committee is considering a number of legislative proposals to deal with heroin and prescription opioid abuse.

In a statement issued by Senator Kelly Ayotte's office, Willard called for "a comprehensive and sustained approach to help improve treatment options for those struggling with an opioid use disorder, support for individuals in recovery, and adequate resources for state and local law enforcement who are on the front lines of this public health and safety crisis every day.
