Congressional Delegation Reaction Falls Along Party Lines

New Hampshire’s congressional delegation is reacting largely along party lines to the Supreme Court’s ruling on health care. Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte says she will continue to fight to repeal the law.  Congressmen Charlie Bass and Frank Guinta echo her thoughts.  Guinta says he’s not pleased with the ruling, but he’s prepared to sit down with colleagues from both sides of the aisle and amend the law as needed.   Bass says the court’s ruling doesn’t mean that the law is right for America.  He calls it bad public policy, and says it still lacks the backing of a majority of Americans.  Democratic U-S Senator Jeanne Shaheen says the law is already helping thousands of people in New Hampshire and it’s going to help thousands more.
