Giant Used Book Sale

Giant Used Book Sale

The annual used book sale sponsored by Auburn's Friends of Griffin Free Public Library features tens of thousands of used books, audio books, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles and much more. Entrance is free during regular hours on Saturday, July 26 from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday, July 27 from 11 am to 3 pm. Early Bird access on Saturday, July 26 from 7am to 8 am is available for $10.

Adult books are priced at $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcovers; children’s books are available for 50 cents; and audio materials, DVDs, games and puzzles range from $1 to $2. On Sunday, July 27 shoppers may fill a bag provided by the library for $5, fill their own bag for $10, or purchase a tote bag with a 2025 coupon from The Friends of Griffin Free Public Library and fill it for free. The tote bags are available for $20 at the Griffin Free Public Library prior to the sale, or during the book sale on the 26th and 27th.

Several specialty tables will be included in the sale this year, including tables for rare and collectible items and Friends of the Library Favorites. There will also be a Joe Forest Poetry Table, named after the collection of books donated by Joe, a friend of the library and member of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire (PSNH). Poets from PSNH will give a brief poetry reading at 11am on Saturday.

All proceeds from the sale will help fund Griffin Free Library programming, such as the Summer Reading program, events, author presentations and more.
