New Hampshire Muralist Barry Faulkner Immortalized Declaration's Signers

declaration070413_0.jpg

On this Fourth of July we take a look at a New Hampshire connection to the Declaration of Independence.

The National Archives in Washington, DC is home to the original copy of the Declaration – and just above the special bulletproof case containing that historic parchment is a mural, unveiled in 1936, depicting the Declaration’s signers. The mural is by Barry Faulkner, an artist from Keene.

To learn more about Faulkner, All Things Considered host Brady Carlson talks with Alan Rumrill, Executive Director of the Historical Society of Cheshire County.
