Beverly Cleary's 'Henry Huggins' series turns 75

Beverly Cleary’s iconic but regular third grader, Henry Huggins, was introduced to the world in 1950. The six books in the series follow the everyday adventures of Henry and his canine companion, Ribsy.

The mischievous younger sister of Henry’s good friend Beezus — Ramona — was so popular that Cleary gave her an eponymous series of her own.
