It’s been almost a year since Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared without a trace, setting off a worldwide obsession and wall-to-wall media coverage, especially on CNN.
Jeff Wise was one of CNN’s aviation analysts, appearing on the network multiple times a day for months on end, to react to developments in the story and speculate about what may have happened to the plane.
Then, finally, with absolutely nothing new to go on, the media just moved on. Even, eventually, CNN. But not Jeff Wise. He spent the rest of the year pouring over the mystery, and came up with his own theory, that the plane was hijacked and landed in Kazakhstan.
Wise details why in a new piece for New York Magazine, “How Crazy Am I To Think I Actually Know Where That Malaysia Airlines Plane Is?” Wise talks about his theory and how he arrived at it, with Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson.
