Winter Storm Warning Called For Most Of N.H.

Snow fall in April in Hopkinton
Rebecca Lavoie / NHPR

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for most of New Hampshire, and the forecast anticipates rain turning into snow Friday, possibly bringing 1-3 inches for greater Concord.

Heavy, wet snow is expected, and total snow accumulations at higher elevations could be in the range of 4- to 10- inches, according to the forecast.

The storm warning takes effect at 10 p.m. Thursday and goes until 7 a.m. Saturday, April 17.

Higher elevations could see more snow accumulation, and the weather system indicates light snow stretching to the coast.

Any amount of snow will not last too long - the forecast calls for rising temperatures Sunday, with a high temp of 61 degrees Monday.
