Governor Chris Sununu has nominated Justice Robert J. Lynn to lead the state's Supreme Court.
Justice Lynn of Windham has served on the state’s highest court for seven years.
In a written statement, Sununu called Lynn "an exceptional, experienced judge with impeccable credentials.”
Sununu plans to make the nomination Wednesday during the Executive Council meeting. A confirmation vote will likely take place on the Feb. 21.
If confirmed, Lynn will take over for Chief Justice Linda S. Dalianis, who is retiring in April. She is turning 70, the age of retirement for judges as set in the state Constitution.
