Workshop To Help Companies Do Business With The Feds

The state’s Department of Resources and Economic Development  is holdinga free workshop Oct. 18thto help North Country companies to do business with the federal government.

Every year the federal government buys tens of millions of dollars in goods or services in the North Country.

There’s the White Mountain National Forest, Homeland Security, the U.S. Forest Service and the new federal prison in Berlin.

But most small businesses above the notches are missing out on the chance to get that business, says David Pease, an official with the Department of Resources and Economic Development.

“I think there is a lot more opportunity than folks understand.”

Pease’s job is helping businesses find, understand and navigate the complex purchasing system used by the federal government.

And the morning of October 18th he’s holding a free workshop on the subject at The White Mountains Community College in Berlin.

Training will be conducted by Dave Pease of NH-PTAP. The training will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 at White Mountains Community College, Room 104A, 2020 Riverside Drive, Berlin, NH. Admission is free, but registration is required: call 603-271-7581 or sign up at
