Hanover Phone Scammer Targets Residents Under Guise Of 'Officer Sean White," Police Say

  Police in Hanover say a phone scammer is impersonating an officer in an attempt to elicit cash payments. 

The department says residents have been receiving phone calls from someone who identifies himself as "Officer Sean White," who claims to have important information for homeowners.

Police say there is no Officer Sean White in Hanover and that the calls are fraudulent.

They urge anyone who receives such calls to notify authorities.
