A Nottingham state representative facing felony drug and sexual exploitation charges has been released on bail.
The Concord Monitor reports Kyle Tasker, 30, was released on $50,000 cash bail Monday with an electronic ankle bracelet.
An official at the Rockingham County Department of Corrections Tuesday could not confirm that Tasker had been released.
Tasker is accused of using Facebook to lure what he believed was a 14-year-old girl into a sexual encounter.
He’s facing four felonies, including three drug charges.
Police found an enormous amount of controlled substances at Tasker’s residence, including, marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and prescription pills, that looks to be packaged for distribution.
Meanwhile, WMUR reports Tasker will resign from the House of Representatives Wednesday.
Tasker, a Republican, is serving his third term. He had been a member of the Children and Family Law Committee, but was stripped his seat on that committee following his arrest.
House Speaker Shawn Jasper and state Republican party chair Jennifer Horn have both called for Tasker to resign.
