Winning Mega Millions $1.6 Billion Ticket Sold in South Carolina

Someone in South Carolina hit the Mega Millions $1.6 billion jackpot Tuesday night.

The winning numbers were: 5-28-62-65-70-5

NH Lottery Director Charlie McIntyre said retailers were selling thousands of tickets per hour ahead of the drawing. It was a record jackpot.

The Mega Millions jackpot is back down in the millions for the next drawing: $40,000,000.
