The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association released temperature data for the past six months on Monday. Reports that NOAA’s data shows this to be hottest first half of the year yet in the Granite state.
New Hampshire wasn’t the only state to break records: all told twenty-eight states had their hottest first six months on record, and for another 15 states the temperatures ranked in the all-time top-ten.
Average temperatures from January to June were 5.3 degrees above average in New Hampshire, and 4.5 degrees nationally. These figures are in-spite of a relatively seasonable June, which came no-where near shattering any records anywhere in the North-East.
And high temperatures weren’t the only news, New Hampshire also had somewhat above average rainfall. Compare that to the rest of the country, 56 percent of which was experiencing drought conditions as of last week, according to the US Drought Monitor.
