Arrival times begin at 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM. The event concludes at 8:30 PM.

Candlelight Stroll occurs in rain, snow, or by starlight.

Candlelight Stroll invites visitors to step into the past and experience 350+ years of seasonal and holiday traditions in the Puddle Dock neighborhood. The Museum’s furnished historic houses are adorned with handmade decorations created from greens and dried flowers from the Museum’s heirloom gardens. Visitors call upon the many families who once lived in the waterfront neighborhood – portrayed by costumed roleplayers – who share stories, customs, and seasonal traditions.

While traveling from house to historic house, the glow of hundreds of candle lanterns and string lights illuminate the way as guests enjoy seasonal greetings from wandering musicians and performers who recreate the traditions of times past.

Additionally enjoy hot apple cider, a warming bonfire, and Ice Dance International’s Currier and Ives Vintage Christmas Skaters for several performances each night of this treasured event. Performances by the Vintage Christmas Skaters are weather-dependent.

Parking is unavailable on-site, as it is reserved for handicapped accessibility on a first-come, first-served basis; please refer to the FAQ section on the event page of Strawbery Banke's website for more information. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

The Francestown Academy Coffeehouse is held on the first Saturday in the months of May and June and then September through December. We schedule 5-6 15-minute acts, and one feature running about 45 minutes. We have a beautiful, historic room, with a fine stage, great lighting and a sound system/sound manager that can't be beat. We are known for featuring at least one kazoo-able song each month, and we have a dedicated local following. Please join us! And look for us on Facebook.

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra will be performing at the Barre Opera House on December 6th at 7:00 PM, featuring guest artist Laurel Swift, playing traditional tunes from Quebec, Scandinavia and the British Isles, including English Country Dance and Morris tunes. North Hampton, NH / Amesbury, MA — Voices of Distinction proudly marks its 23rd season with Yuletide Sounds, a heartwarming holiday concert featuring the Voices of Distinction community chorus, the vocal ensemble FortEtude, and musical director Danny Smith. Performances will be held on Friday, December 5th at North Hampton United Church of Christ (NH) and Saturday, December 6th at Main Street Congregational Church, UCC, Amesbury, MA — both beginning at 7:00 PM.

Led by Danny Smith of Kingston, NH, this cherished ensemble of volunteer singers will offer a rich tapestry of tranquil and powerful choral arrangements. The program blends traditional and contemporary selections, brought to life by local professional musicians on piano, strings, and percussion. Audiences can expect an evening of musical beauty that captures the spirit of the season and uplifts the soul.

Chris Pennie is a lifelong bachelor and single dad, Chris Pennie turns the chaos of parenting and family life into sharp, relatable comedy. A veteran since 2005, he's been a finalist in CMT's Next Big Comic, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Laughing Skull Festival.

Dan Donahue commands the stage with both his size and his sharp comedic timing. A standout performer across New England, he's brought big laughs to venues like the Capitol Center for the Arts, Tupelo Music Hall, and The Spire in Plymouth, as well as countless fundraisers and private events. Whether in a packed theater or an intimate room, Dan's larger-than-life presence guarantees a memorable show.

At just fifteen, Ethan Printz turns the chaos of teenage life into laugh-out-loud comedy. Despite his young age, he's already performed at top venues like Giggles Comedy Club, Tupelo Music Hall, and Nick's Comedy Stop, earning attention from Radio Results Network and The Daily News for his father-son show, A Night with the Printz's.

The night kicks off with live music from Andy Klosenski, a beloved local artist known for his soulful vocals and rich blend of folk, rock, and Americana. His heartfelt performance sets the tone perfectly before the comedians take the stage for a night of big laughs.

Doors open at 7:00 pm with Live Music | Stand-Up starts at 8:00 pm.

Con Tutti ushers in the season, wassailing, singing and celebrating! The men and women of Con Tutti will sing their solstice concert, “The Christmas Pudding Wassail!” on December 6, at 7:30 p.m. at South Church, 292 State Street in Portsmouth.

"Would you enjoy beloved carols, a shape note tune, a lively South African Song of Christmas Celebration, songs of peace, hope and reflection.....all the ingredients for joy, laughter, and capturing the spirit of the season?" asks Con Tutti director, Joanne Connolly.

"We've having so much fun creating a concert of the traditional, and the not so very traditional celebrations of the small island Scottish town of Mingulay,," continues Connolly. "Our concert will discover what happens when a Christmas Pudding goes rogue, and the Strange Men of Minch help save the day."

Connolly collected stories and songs of Scotland earlier this year on a singing tour of the Scottish Isles. "The land, the people, and their stories and myths were so inspiring, " she shares. "I've loved exploring them for this concert!"

Tony Lee will be on hand as the storyteller. There will be new creations by artist Nancy Sander. Jonny Peiffer will offer up some great African percussion, and keyboard playing. And Jim Prendergast with his trio on guitar, fiddle, and upright bass will be there to pump up the music from the British Isles!
