Job Fair Thursday In Laconia

More than two dozen employers and job assistance organizations will take part in a job fair this week in Laconia.

The event takes place Thursday afternoon at Lakes Region Community College and is being organized by 1st District Representative Frank Guinta's office.
 
The companies participating in the job fair include industries such as construction, aerospace, tourism and health care. 
 
The most recent state data put Laconia's unemployment rate at 3.6 percent for February, which is higher than the state average of 2.7 percent.
