Though the Compaq Big Band plays really cool gigs all the time, some of *THE* coolest are when we get to share the stage with the young jazz stars of tomorrow. One of those opportunities comes up on Tuesday February 20th when we return to Souhegan High School in Amherst, New Hampshire for their 2023-2024 Jazz Night #2. This will be an exjazzaganza featuring five – YES, *5* - Granite State jazz ensembles from Nashua Fairgrounds Middle School (Nashua), Nashua South High School, Windham High School, The Founder’s Academy (Manchester), and host Souhegan High School (SHS)!

The show runs 7:00pm-9:00pm at the SHS Theater – 412 Boston Post Road in Amherst, NH.

Tickets are a mere $5 - available at the door only, with cash, check, and credit card accepted. Doors Open 6:30pm. All seating is General Admission. Plus, there’ll be a 50/50 raffle.

We’re proud to say we’ve been invited to headline Jazz Nights several times over their storied history, and we know every student will bring their A-game! Our short set that evening will feature some great instrumentals from the Chris Walden and Tom Kubis, along with terrific vocals as performed by Peggy Lee, Laura Fygi, Natalie Cole and more.

Making the night even more special for all is having our former Feature Vocalist Lauren Meehan out in front the band. A native Granite Stater – AND former Miss New Hampshire, she’s making a special trip up from North Carolina to guest in.
