Just over a year in office, Gov. Chris Sununu is enjoying relatively high approval ratings, according to the most recent poll from the UNH Survey Center.
Sununu’s job approval ratings have held steady since the middle of last year, hovering a little over 60 percent.
But when it comes to his reputation among independents, in particular, he’s getting more positive marks than ever before. More than 70 percent of independents approve of Sununu’s job performance — almost the same as Republicans.
At the same time, many of those surveyed said they were unsure who they would vote for in this fall’s gubernatorial elections. Just 10 percent said they have definitely made up their mind.
The poll included input from 523 randomly selected New Hampshire residents from a mix of political backgrounds, and responses were gathered by phone between Jan. 28 and Feb. 10.
