BROADWAY & BACK: RAY WALKER BENEFIT CONCERT, ST. JOHNSBURY
Thursday May 26 7:00 PM Fuller Hall, St. Johnsbury Academy, 1000 Main Street. Tickets $20, $30, or $100. Broadway veteran Ray Walker, a native of St. Johnsbury and alumnus of the Academy, class of '81, will present his one-man show. His Broadway credits include Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease, Falsettos, as well as the National Touring Company of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. SUGAR HILL HISTORICAL MUSEUM OPENS FOR THE SEASON

Friday May 27 6:30 - 8:30 AM, meet at 53 Post Road. Hosted by Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust, ACT executive directory Rebecca Brown will offer tips and tricks for bird identification and will introduce birding by ear. SILENCE OF THE LAMBS AT THE COLONIAL, BETHLEHEM
Friday May 27 7:30 PM 2050 Main Street. Stars  It’s been 25 years since this very scary, multiple-Oscar-winning thriller, starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkiins, was released. Clarisse Starling’s (Foster) shrewd analysis of serial killers lands her a special assignment: investigate a vicious murderer nicknamed Buffalo Bill (Hopkins). FRIENDS OF LINCOLN LIBRARY PLANT SALE

FRANCONIA HERITAGE MUSEUM OPENS FOR THE SEASON
Saturday May 28 1:00 PM at 553 Main Street. The 18th season of the museum offer a new exhibit: The Grange: A Voice for the Farmers. Also new is a photographic display on the repair and renovation of Franconia’s Dow Clock and Tower. The furnished 1878 New England farm house with attached buildings offers many permanent displays, including Old Man of the Mountain, Iron Furnance, Guest Houses of Yesteryear, antique farm equipment, and much more. CONTRA DANCING IN NH: THEN AND NOW WITH DUDLEY LAUFMAN, BATH
Saturday May 28 7:00 PM Bath Town Hall. The Bath Public Library has received a grant from NH Humanities to present Dudley Laufman. This lively tradition of contra dancing has kept people of all ages swinging and sashaying in barns, town halls, and schools throughout the state. Contra dancing came to NH by way of the English colonists and remains popular in many communities to this day. Live music, always integral to this dance, will be played on fiddle and melodeon. SOLARIZE AMMONOOSUC CELEBRATION, FRANCONIA
Sunday May 29 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Wendle’s Deli, Main Street. Solarize Ammonoosuc would like to thank everyone who has helped with the solarize campaign, congratulate those who have signed up to install solar at their home, and offer an afternoon break to anyone who might be interested in solar in the future. Please join the Ammonoosuc Regional Energy Team for this final, celebratory event. 

MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES, LITTLETON
Monday May 30 7:30 AM breakfast at Elks Lodge, Route 302, free for veterans, $8 for others. 10:30 AM procession line forms at the Littleton Fire Station, 11:10 AM starts the one-mile march to Veterans Memorial Bridge. Following the ceremonies on the bridge, the VFW Auxiliary will be cooking burgers and hot dogs for those participating in the ceremonies. This will take place at the pavilion located behind the VFW at 600 Cottage Street. 

LITTLETON PUBLIC LIBRARY SUMMER AUTHOR SERIES
Wednesday June 1 6:30 PM McLure Program Room, Littleton Public Library, Main Street. Andrea Fitzgerald, author of Celebrating 250 Years: A Pictorial History of Lisbon, Lyman and Landaff, NH, will speak. Her presentation will include dozens of historic images from the three norther NH communities. With funding from local publisher Bondcliff Books, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays June through October. 

LOCAL AUTHOR SPEAKS ABOUT UNDERGROUND RAILROAD IN NH, LANCASTER
Wednesday June 1 7:00 PM Weeks Memorial Library. Author Michelle Arnosky Sherburne will speak. She began writing historical non-fiction books in 2012 when she co-authored "A Vermont Hill Town in the Civil War: Peacham's Story". The following year she published "Abolition and the Underground Railroad in Vermont". For more information about this free lecture, email the library at weekslib@ncia.net
