Rhode Island Man Dies In Snowmobile Crash

A Rhode Island man was killed in a snowmobile accident Saturday and two other men were injured in separate crashes, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.

The fatality occurred in Lincoln on the Power Line Trail near Bog Pond, said Lt. James Kneeland.

Kneeland said 29-year-old Jordan F. Desousa of Warwick died of injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.

Kneeland said it appears Desousa hit a water bar across the trail, lost control of his snowmobile and hit a tree.

Also on Saturday Duncan Joyal, 24, of Webster was “skimming” his snowmobile across open water on Walker Pond when he struck a spectator, twenty-five-year-old Joshua, also of Webster.

Kneeland said charges against Joyal are pending.

On Friday in Littleton 37-year-old Michael Reed of Deerfield NH was seriously injured when his four-wheel drive ATV hit a rock on a trail in Littleton. He was listed in stable condition at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
