Six Injured In Crash In The North Country

A single-car crash Friday night in Littleton injured six people, two of them seriously, said Littleton police chief Paul Smith.

Smith said the accident occurred just past 11 p.m. on Route 135 just north of its intersection with Interstate 93.

He said the driver of a 2012 Toyota Camry lost control and the vehicle “left the road and collided with a telephone pole, which caused the vehicle to roll over several times.”

Several people were thrown from the vehicle.

Several others were temporarily trapped in the vehicle because electrical wires attached to the pole came down and the car was also badly mangled.

All six occupants were injured.

Two were hurt so badly they were sent to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Their condition was not available Sunday.

The accident closed the road for hours and required help ambulances from Bethlehem and Lisbon and neighboring police departments.

“The driver of the vehicle was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated," Smith said.

Smith identified him as Jason Therrien, 35, of Littleton.

He said the other occupants of the vehicle were Katelynn Wright, 22, of Littleton; Amanda Rainault, 26, of Bethlehem; Sidney Walker, 27, of Jefferson; Brittany Milligan, 22, of Littleton and Jonathan McConnell, 24, of Littleton.
