The fire mutual aid organization serving over 70 communities in the southwestern portion of the state is suing the town of Charlestown.

The organization alleges that Charlestown owes it money dating back to 2015, the year the town moved to sever ties and use its own dispatch facility. At the time, the town cited rising costs as its primary reason for leaving.
Charlestown is expected to respond by the end of the month.
