The New Hampshire Liquor Commission reports liquor sales reached a record six hundred twenty six million dollars in the past fiscal year.
Joseph Mollica, the Chairman of the liquor commission, credits the 4% increase in sales to customer service training and innovative marketing campaigns.
“What this current commission is doing is utilizing the ability of current marketing, social media and proper advertising and these renovations of these stores. And I think what we will see is the liquor commission become more and more profitable as time goes on.”
Since 2012, the commission has renovated or relocated 15 stores. The two Hampton stores off I-95 had the highest gross sales in the past fiscal year. Sales at the Hooksett outlets off I-93 are expected to increase by $6 million in the first fiscal year following the opening of newly constructed, 20,000 square-foot liquor stores with attached restaurants and gas station.
The liquor commission says it’s generated more than three billion dollars in revenue for the state over the past eighty years and it expects to raise another billion in just the next seven years.
