NPR Special: PBS Newshour/POLITICO Democratic Debate
Join NPR and New Hampshire Public Radio for the sixth of 12 Democratic primary debates scheduled for the 2020 presidential election. The next debate will take place Thursday, December 19, from the campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Live coverage will begin at 8 p.m. NPR’s coverage will be hosted by Michel Martin, joined by members of the NPR Politics team in Washington, D.C. NPR Political Correspondent Scott Detrow will be covering the debate on-site in Los Angeles.
Seven candidates qualified for the debate and will share the stage Thursday evening:
- Joe Biden
- Pete Buttigieg
- Amy Klobuchar
- Bernie Sanders
- Tom Steyer
- Elizabeth Warren
- Andrew Yang
