The Nutcracker: Act II

The Nutcracker: Act II

St. Paul’s School Ballet Company presents The Nutcracker: Act II

In the spirit of the holiday season, the St. Paul’s School Ballet Company (SPSBC) will present The Nutcracker: Act II on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9 at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 10 at 3pm. Performances will take place in Memorial Hall on the school’s Concord campus.

This abridged version of The Nutcracker is free of charge and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please see health protocol information below.) Each show will last approximately one hour, and all ages are welcome.

Although not required for admission, the SPSBC invites guests to bring toy donations for holiday distribution to local children through Concord charitable organizations. Donated toys should not exceed $25 in value and should be new and unwrapped.

The Nutcracker: Act II, with music by Tchaikovsky, will include the dance of the Snowflakes, Waltz of the Flowers, and Marzipan among other well-known favorites.

All members of the SPSBC will perform. SPS Director of Dance, Kate Lydon, says the performance is a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season and invites all to join the SPSBC on this enchanted journey.

Since the virus that causes Covid-19 is still circulating in and beyond our community, we encourage people who come to our campus to be fully vaccinated and remain home even if you have the slightest sign of upper respiratory infections which may include congestion, cough, and sore throat. The vaccines have been shown to be effective in preventing severe illness and hospitalizations.
