Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum Hosts Snow Snake Games
Warner, NH — Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum invites families to celebrate winter with Snow Snake, a traditional Indigenous winter game. Please join us on Saturday, February 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., held on 11 snow-covered acres.
Snow Snake is a historic Indigenous winter game played by sliding handcrafted sticks (snakes) along a snow track, testing skill and technique. Fun for all ages, the activity offers hands-on learning, movement, and outdoor fun in a welcoming environment.
In addition to the games, the event will include a campfire with s’mores. Snow Snakes will be available for use by the public. Visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather and come ready to play.
This program reflects the museum’s mission to share Indigenous culture and history, while fostering connection to land, community, and season. Outside events are free. Regular admission applies to tour the museum. Click here for more information
