Autumn Orienteering Fun at Beaver Brook in Hollis!

Autumn Orienteering Fun at Beaver Brook in Hollis!

The Up North Orienteers invite the public to come try orienteering at Beaver Book's Maple Hill Farm in Hollis, NH on Sunday, November 26th.

Trying the sport of orienteering is a wonderful way to cap off a Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends. Experience the beautiful woods at Beaver Brook while burning some of those extra calories from Thanksgiving dinner.

Orienteering is an easy to learn recreational activity that involves navigating between points using a map and compass. Think of it as treasure hunting in the woods if you like. The sport is not only fun but is appropriate for people of all ages and athletic abilities. You can participate individually or in a group with friends and family.

Participants may register and start any time on November 26th between 10 AM and 12:30 PM. Experienced orienteers will be on hand at Beaver Brook to help newcomers learn the basics and try their first course.

Additional information, including directions to the assembly and parking areas, may be found at the Up North Orienteers web site, https://upnoor.org/event/beaver-brook-association-maple-hill-farm/ . Questions may be sent to the event organizers, Lex and Pete Bundschuh at unofam@aol.com .
