This week marks the 40th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, and “Operation Babylift” which evacuated thousands of supposedly orphaned South Vietnamese children who were then relocated to homes in American and beyond. On today’s show we’ll revisit the controversial program and get a firsthand account from one of the airlifted children.
Then, A-list DJs appear to live in the top tier of fabulousness, jet-setting to the world’s trendiest clubs and VIP parties. We’ll get the inside view from Juan MacLean, an international star living quietly in Dover, New Hampshire.

Operation Babylift
Journalist and author Dana Sachs is the author of, The Life We Were Given, an investigative account of Operation Babylift, which extracted thousands of children out of Vietnam before the Fall of Saigon, forty years ago this week.
Bert Ballard was airlifted from Saigon in April of 1975 and raised in Georgia. He’s now in academia, currently at Pepperdine University, and is a blogger and adoption advocate.
From Child Soldier to Stylist
Lilly Pyle was among 5000 Vietnamese women who came to the U.S. between 1971 and 1975 after marrying U.S. servicemen. While starting a new life in America meant she had to leave behind her family, she never severed the ties with her home country. Sara Hoover brings us this story.
